A participatory workshop in urban movement tracking
As part of Open Eye's Look Climate Lab we wanted to visualize what travel by multiple participants in an urban ecology looks like.
Seven participants gathered their movement data across Liverpool for several days to make the traces of their habits and energy expenditures more visible. Mapping utilities are most often used by individuals to navigate or to track journeys. We use the same utilities in a participatory open data process to visualize patterns generated by the social metabolism of an urban space.
